How CreatorSift calculates median views

CreatorSift uses median views rather than averages to calculate performance benchmarks. Our methodology is as follows:

1. Filter uploads by format (e.g. Long-form video vs. Shorts) to build a comparable cohort.
2. Sort the plays from lowest to highest.
3. Identify the middle point (the 50th percentile).

This avoids distortion from a single viral upload skewing baseline expectations for brands and agencies.
